Throw Enough Mud
online workshops that celebrate play, experimentation, community and failure.
Whether you’re a practiced writer or a curious beginner Throw Enough Mud caters for you.
Leyla’s experience in teaching spans over a decade. Leyla’s main goal is to create a safe, supportive and fun environment for people to get back to childlike creative freedom. She believes that play is a key step in learning that is regularly skipped. She believes that her most important job is to cultivate a sense of curiousity and humour in the Throw Enough Mud community. She wants the school to empower artists/writers to be resilient, trusting, autonomous and confident when approaching their writing. At Throw Enough Mud participants know best - she’s just here to offer space, time, tools, encouragement and inspiration.
Please note that classes are limited and are on a first come first serve basis.
If you have additional access needs please let us know when signing up.
There are no eligibility checks but you will need a working Zoom account.
We are a community that makes and spends time together with a foundation of acceptance and peace, this means we reserve the right to refuse and refund anyone who is behaving in a judgemental or aggressive way,
There are two bursary places per class. If you’d like to be considered for these please send an email to hello@leylajosephine with the workshop you’d like to attend in the subject.
“Yeeesssssssssss. I now have straight up confidence. I am in my ‘fuck around and find out’ era. If there’s something I want to try out, I don’t even think about it anymore. I love a personal challenge, and this was challenging...but the feeling when things click - there’s nothing better!!”
“I’ve learned to let my pen flow and to trust the process. I’m definitely overthinking less with permission to play and be messy. The ethos we talked about in the first session, about “bad writing” not being real, was quite revolutionary for me. I’m really looking forward to taking these tools forward to keep stepping out of my comfort zone, thank you!”
“ The class has been a light in my week and I always look forward to it”
“ I joined on a whim, wanting to improve my writing, but I feel so rejuvenated like my writing brain has been baptised and has been converted to new methods and skills”
“My favourite things were meeting people, getting feedback, and the friendly vibe. I really enjoyed how Leyla held the space with a relaxed fun energy that made it feel very creative and welcoming.”
“I’ve nearly filled a notebook!”
