Leyla believes that anyone can be a creative, all it takes is a safe environment, some creative tools and plenty of encouragement. She believes creativity is the beating heart of everyone’s growth and happiness. It is why she continues to work in different social contexts with participants from different backgrounds alongside her own practice.  She is used to managing large scale projects with funders, partners and charities while still being led by the individual needs of the participants. She has been working for ten years in community contexts and has facilitated in schools, prisons, with youth theatres, with early years, mother groups, universities, colleges, actors, with people from a range of different learning needs and abilities, with young carers, young people in care, children with behavioural needs and both children and adult refugees and asylum seekers. She has created books, theatre shows, immersive performances, lectures, spoken word nights, soundscapes and visual art pieces with her different groups over the years.
